Dakota County Fair

The Dakota County Fair was a HUGE success again this year, we took in $6300.00, but because of the cool weather sales were down about $900.00. The expenses have not been totaled yet, but we estimated about $3000.00 profit. A big, big Thank You goes out to Jim and Theresa Czeck who chaired this event. Your dedication and hard work is greatly apprecitated. Also, Thank You to all the volunteers who worked the fair. Great Job!!!

K of C Picnic

The picnic was a big hit, the food was very good and there were about 70 who attended. Everyone enjoyed a great meal and fellowship that evening. Thank you to Jim Perry and Duane Eich who chaired this event and to everyone who helped.

Installation of Officers

Northfield Council will be hosting the installation of officers this year. This will be Thursday, Sept. 2nd at 6:30 pm at St. Dominic’s Church. All officers and their wives are encouraged to attend.

Fall Festival

September 18th and 19th are the dates for this years Fall Festival. Vince Olson is in charge of the K of C trailer, if you are available to help please call Vince at 651-463-9456 or you can also sign up in the gathering area in church. Volunteers are needed Sat. morning starting at 10:00 am for the trailer and also Sunday morning cooking chicken. Andy Derner will be heading up that event, please call him if you can help 651-463-8301.

Storage Building at the Church

Electric power has been installed to the storage building. We are waiting for the stairway to the loft to be installed, it is scheduled for the week of August 23rd . The Knights volunteered to do some of the work on the inside to complete the building. We will be discussing this at the Sept. meeting.

Grand Knight Report

Dale Gall, a 10 year member of our Council and a 33 year member of the Knights of Columbus is retiring from the post office. Dale and Judy will be moving back to their home town in Missouri in October. Dale has been an active member in our Council over the past 10 years and he will be greatly missed. I would like to congratulate you on your retirement and wish you both the very best. Good Luck!!

October 3rd will be the kick off of our breakfasts. This year Jerry Cyrus will be lining up chair people for our events. If possible we would like to have members who haven’t had the opportunity to chair some of the breakfasts. Please contact Jerry if you are interested. This is a great way to meet other members, get to know them and have some fun.
