LIFE JAM
Sunday and Wednesday 6:00
We are excited to introduce the all new LIFE JAM! to our Sunday and Wednesday sessions. After listening to your input and feedback, we've decided to revamp Praise and Worship and replace it with a shortened, more youth friendly time of gathering that we called LIFE JAM! During these 20 minutes, all members of LIFE (yes, including parents) join together to be witness to each other in their exciting adventure in learning. This time will consist of music as well as relevant information about the evening's topic. Activities will range from guest speakers to popular game shows like Jeopardy, introduction to prayer as well as family activities. Make sure to attend and contribute your energy to the growing dynamic of the LIFE program.
PS. Parents, yes you do need to participate. Not only do you mentor your own and other's children by your example, but we are concerned with your child's safety. During this time, we have a very limited ability of monitoring individuals. In our endeavor to provide a safe and secure environment for all, we do need you to attend.
Curriculum
Over the last few years, a great foundation has been built for the 1st through 5th grade LIFE program. This year, we intend to continue to build on the program's strengths. Following LIFE JAM! children will meet in one hour small groups and focus on the following topics:
1st Grade: Prayers and the Bible
2nd Grade: Mass and 1st Eucharist
3rd Grade: The Old Testament and Ten Commandments
4th Grade: The New Testament and Forgiveness
5th Grade: Beatitudes and Friendship Issues
In addition, children and their parents will participate in family activities, service projects, and buddy nights.
