LIFE JAM
Sunday and Wednesday at 6:00 PM
We are excited to introduce the all new LIFE JAM! to our Sunday and Wednesday sessions. After listening to your input and feedback, we've decided to revamp Praise and Worship and replace it with a shortened, more youth friendly time of gathering that we called LIFE JAM! During these 20 minutes, all members of LIFE (yes, including parents) join together to be witness to each other in their exciting adventure in learning. This time will consist of music as well as relevant information about the evening's topic. Activities will range from guest speakers to popular game shows like Jeopardy, introduction to prayer as well as family activities. Make sure to attend and contribute your energy to the growing dynamic of the LIFE program.
PS. Parents, yes you do need to participate. Not only do you mentor your own and other's children by your example, but we are concerned with your child's safety. During this time, we have a very limited ability of monitoring individuals. In our endeavor to provide a safe and secure environment for all, we do need you to attend.
Curriculum
Youth in grades 6th through 8th grade are in store for a year of hands-on fun and learning, formulated around a 3 year program by St. Mary’s Press’s Catholic Connection. This year, youth will focus on God, Revelation and Faith, and The Eucharist. During the one hour small group time, middle school youth will stay together for a dramatic, interactive presentation of the evening’s lesson. Following this presentation, youth will break out into small groups for discussion. In addition, youth will participate in service projects and buddy nights.
